My Feelings Prt 2, Jun08

Lately, I don't know why..
I often strike by this -weird & negative feeling-!! My eyes begin to open and my ears begin to shut.. I dont feel I receive enough love.. I feel like the world is really unfair to me at the moment.. Even my mum wouldn't understand how I feel.. I really love her but I couldn't express it in a proper way.. Now, I tend to have this grown-up feeling.. A feel of becoming more mature in every aspect of life!! I really like this feeling although it's quite hurtful.. I like to cry out my feelings.. Become quiet and silent for a moment.. Study and concentrate on my future!! In fact, I should be focusing fully on my studies and nothing else as promised 4 years ago!!! I really need lotz of inspiration and courage to go on.. But where can I get it? Before, I used to have a dream girl in my heart to sweep me through the semester.. But now, I realised that I have to sweep it myself for my own future.. Im really dissapointed with my current being~ Single, Stupid, Poor~ But then, I know that I'll be even nothing if I dont work hard from now on.. I really couldn't stand not blogging about myself~ Because, Im going to stop blogging from now on~
I feel that I really need to focus on my studies and my final year project since its my last year~ I have no time left.. My time are limited and after this, I really had no idea where and what will I be.. I love to dream, but I also want it to come true..Who doesnt? I dream to be a successful person~ Someone that everybody recognize and respect!! I know, it's pretty lame to blog about this kind of stuff... Its just me..
I want to:
1. Be healthy and happy.
2. Be bright and successful.
3. Be a good husband and father.
4. Have a simple but unique life that not many can promise.
And to achieve it, I guess I need to ~ Focus now!!
Lately, I heard a lot of *ahem* good/bad feedback about 'My feelings'.. Yes, I really do feel love at the moment regardless of who that person is.. But then, I don't feel that I deserve to be loved now.. I'm a nobody and because of this, I cannot give somebody my love.. I am not capable yet and so.. I'll not react unless love is blind.. Then, it would be a different story..
I dont really like to hurt people, but I do love people to hurt me when necessary.. To be honest, I like people who are straight.. Meanwhile, I can get jealous of others too.. Who doesnt? But still, I will not let my jealousy to harm anyone of them.. I really love my friends and family!!! I could never harm anyone of them~ The only person left that I could harm is myself.. I will then look into the mirror and see myself so useless and lifeless...
As mentioned in my previous blog, Im quite 'Happy' to get to know alot of new friends.. In fact, I always wanted to get to know more people whom can be trusted.. However, I can feel that my heart is getting emotional very easily!! But still, I guess I still can control it because its a benign's effect..
This may be the last post for this month June 08.. I dont know when will I post again.. I found out that it takes a lot of commitment to maintain a blog.. Afterall, I found out that my blog is so NOT popular.. So, what's the point of blogging when only a few would read it..
Thankq to , , for being my frequent visitor..
Oh, sh*t.. Im tearing now.. Hahaha.. *Smiling *

Myown Restaurant

Lately, my mum told me that there's a restaurant that serve only 'Noodles' in their menu and she told me that, people would queue during the weekend just to taste a bowl of their famous.. Kolomee, Laksa, etc. Mm, Im quite curious and so.. I went to try it out myself~

By the way, I apologize to my fellow Muslim readers again.. The food is 100% non-halal~

*Myown Restaurant, Open as early as 6.30am till 5.30pm*

*Want some? Hehe.. But I tried it out, it was not as good as the one I ate in Ipoh or the one at Sing U Me, Kg. Mata mata!!! However, its taste quite well for the amount I paid!!! *

*To get there~ Its at Old Gadong, somewhere near 'Concept' computer shop, Borneo Clinic, lotz of tyre shop, etc.. The restaurant is pretty easy to spot!! If you're lost, just look for this new building(Left hand side) below the picture~ Its just behind it.. *

I would rate it 8.0 out of 10 for the price and the taste!!

My coming Bday 08

--- Something for you all to read~ Sorry, not much picture!!

A lot of my friends always ask me.. When is your bday? I would tell them.. It varies every year depending on the lunar calendar ~ & so, they would ask me.. What is Lunar calendar and when will that be? I would then tell them that Chinese people will prefer to celebrate their Bday using the Chinese Calendar which is based on the moon cycle~ So when will my bday be again? Four days after Mid-Autumn Festival..

This year, my B'DAY will be on Sept. 18, 2008!!!
--- I always wanted a Bday Cake that is unique.. Perhaps, a MoonCake with Candles on it.. That is so cool!!! *Hint*
.. Oh sh*t, that's not a surprise to me anymore!!! Think of something else.. Haha..

Zhōng qīu jié, 中秋節
Mid-Autumn Festival

The Chinese calendar is based on the lunar cycle and the moon is important to the Chinese. Autumn Moon Festival, literally ‘Mid-Autumn Festival’, or the Birthday of the Moon is on 8/15 of the lunar calendar, a full moon night. It is a time to have the family together, eat a festive meal including moon cakes, and enjoy the moonlight. Children & adults carry paper lanterns and climb hills to get a good view of the full moon. They give thanks to the bright, silvery moon of the eighth lunar month. Some call it a “Chinese Thanksgiving”. (In Taiwan this is also Teacher’s Day.)

When the moon is round, families unite. Yuè yuán, rén yuán. (月圓, 人圓)

The next Mid-Autumn Festivals (lunar 8/15) are:

Sept. 14, 2008;

Oct. 3, 2009;

Sept. 22, 2010,

Sept. 12, 2011;

Sept 30, 2012,

Sept. 19, 2013;

Sept. 8, 2014;

Sept. 27, 2015;

Sept 15, 2016;

Oct. 4, 2017;

Sept. 24, 2018.

Not that long ago, most people in the world were farmers. They grew their own vegetables and fruit and they raised their own pigs, cows, and chickens for milk, eggs, and meat. Sometimes they had a lot of food and sometimes not enough. But after the fall harvest families and friends would gather together to give thanks for all they had to eat, for the rain, the sunlight and the earth that made all life possible. In America this holiday is called Thanksgiving. In China, the people celebrate the Autumn Moon Festival. If we lived in North China, wheat is important; in South China, rice is more important.

Mooncakes are round like the moon. The round shape is a symbol for togetherness and harmony. Made of flaked pastry, they often have egg yolks in the center, to represent the moon, and sweet fillings of red bean paste, lotus seed paste, coconut or nuts. The sweetness of them represents good fortune or good harvest. Traditional red bean paste filling takes days to make. Special molds are used which press special designs in the top. Now “everyone” buys mooncakes instead of making them at home.

On the evening of the Autumn Moon Festival, people carrying paper lanterns climb hills and mountains to get a good view of the full moon. They give thanks to the bright, silvery moon of the eighth lunar month. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also partially a Festival of Lights. The lanterns they carry all have candles in them. Before electricity, people were more aware of the length of the days and the stars, and what happened in the night sky.
Aywen: Wow, Good Idea!!! I am so gonna Climb Hills this year... Hehehe!!

Days in China, as days here, get shorter in the fall as there are more hours of darkness each day, but the moon triumphs. They say that the moon is its roundest on 8/15 (lunar).

The later one stays up, the longer one’s parents live. (Although the family “should” be together for Autumn Moon festival and it is always good to remember and worship one’s ancestors, this is not the special day to remember the dead. That is Qing Ming, celebrated on April 4th.
Aywen: I never got a chance to celebrate Qing Ming.. Dont know why~ I always think of my late grandparents during that auspicious occassion!! Love them alot..

There are many legends about the moon that people remember at the Mid-Autumn Festival. The most popular are about how long ago Chang Èr, lady moon, flew to the moon and how, not quite so long ago, mooncakes saved the day. Chang Èr is also known as Lady Moon and still lives on the moon with a rabbit and a cassia tree. Many mooncakes are stamped with designs of the Moon Lady, the Jade Rabbit, or groves of cassia trees. (Most ground cinnamon sold in the USA is actually cassia.) When you look at the full moon, who or what do you see?
Aywen: Who? I see my mother carrying me inside her womb!!
Aywen: What? And of course, I see my Bday cake!!

Longer version: According to one legend, 10 suns blazed in the sky in ancient times. The heat burned the earth, fields could no longer produce crops, and people were going to die. The emperor asked for archers to shoot all the suns. Brave Hou Yi was the best archer in the land. He shot down nine of the suns and stopped before shooting the last one. For saving the people, Hou Yi became King and was given an immortality pill or elixir (perhaps from Queen of Wang Mu on the Kun Lun Mountain).

Unfortunately, Hou Yi became a tyrant indulging in debauchery and random killing. His subjects were afraid and hated him. His wife, Chang Èr, was heart-broken by her husband’s change and what was happening to the country. She knew that if he took the immortality pill, the country would never recover. So, to save her countrymen, Chang Èr stole the immortality pill and swallowed it herself. Her body became so light that she flew into the air. Chang Er escaped to the bright, full moon on 8/15 of the lunar calendar. She became the Moon Goddess. She still lives there alone except for the Jade Rabbit and cassia trees.

At this special time of year, the Moon Lady will grant your secret wish. If you have a special wish? Don't tell anyone; don't say it out loud! Tell your secret wish to Chang Èr
Aywen: or.. You can tell me!! I'll keep ur secret safe & sound~

*Whoa, Yummy!!!*

Temburong, June08

Hi to all blog's reader,
So, I returned to Bt. Patoi as a volunteer again~ But this time, I was not involved with Small Mammals practical but Forest Profile practical as requested by Prof. Md~ As such, Rawi & I volunteered and stayed in Temburong for 3 days, 2 nights only (3rd Jun08-5th Jun08). Hereby, I must thank Cornelius & his warm-hearted family for accomodating us.. Their family was really super 'duper' kind to us and I am really touched when Cornelius's mum told me, "We will treat you like how we treat our sons!!!"~ I was so touched till I was speechless.. I did thank her but still, I felt that it wasn't enough... Meanwhile, Cornelius's dad was also very welcoming and funny go lucky person!!! He loved to joke around with us and made us laughed.. He was a gentleman indeed!! Not forgetting, Cornelius's sister and his cousins too.. I really love playing 'Heartattack' (~ a kind of card game that require all the players to hit the card~) with them!!! It was so FUN till we played from midnight till 2.30am in the morning!! Meanwhile, I really enjoyed talking with some of my super junior while guiding them into the forest and ordered them to do their duty!!
*Blacky*

*Hahaha.. This was so funny!!! Prof Md. purposely posed for the 1st time!! *

My Feelings

Lately, I feel quite happy, relax, frighten and tense~

*Happy*
Lately, I am very happy because it was my first time to get to know more people.. Thanks to 'Miss A' for inviting them to the dinner.. Honestly, I am not very sociable with people although I may look friendly, polite and talkative sometimes. Its been a long while since I ever met such a friendly group that would bring me into the conversation wherever possible.. At least, I am not that lost.. You all really Rock.. Esp. the one with the white hair (Miss A's grandpa), really cute and humorous!!!

Meanwhile, I also got to know *someone* whom was not close to me and to make thing worst, *ahem* scared of me once upon a time.. Anywez, I will not talk much about *this someone*.. Im a person who can keep secret!!! Hehe.. Good friends like me are hard to find oh...
Then, I am also happy because I get to know another *someone* whom 'raises my temperature!' Hahaha.. It has been a long time since my temperature ~ 'Hehe' !! However, I also heard *rumours* that her temperature rises slightly as well.. ~ Haha!!! Shhh.. I really dont want this good feeling to vanish so fast.. I really like the start... Hope we can be good friend later..

*Relax*

Hohoho... Being able to meet new friends and gaining trust from everyone of them is the most relaxing moment I ever had in my 22 years of life...

*Frighten & Tense*

On the other hand, Im quite tense after *someone* quoted ~ Ur so 'Famous' now~ It really struck me.. I begin to look into myself and ask myself lotz of depressing questions.. Like Why? What? Where? Who? No body understand me so much as I understand them..

Furthermore, I am also frighten to lose good friends too.. I can't accept it.. Knowing that my good friends are getting smaller in size.. I tend to appreciate them very much!!! Too much till I couldn't stand not quarreling with them if they dare to threaten our friendship!!! I dislike people that doesn't trust me so much as I trusted them.. However, Im always forgiving and will accept them back if they regain their trust on me..

Luagan & Wasai

The trip was supposed to start at 4am.. However, *Someone* was super late again (3hours)~ So, we started our journey at 7am and reached our first destination, 'Luagan' at approximately 9.30am. By the way, Luagan is a Marsh-area dominated by sedges that grow in Kopi-O like water (tannins).
*That's Me*
*My other two pals who joined the exciting trip!!*
*To access the area, we had to climb up the broken pathway*
... Easy Job for us!!
*That's me again at the middle of the Lake, ^3^*
*Then, we made a pose at the jetty~ Angel's Charlie~*
.. here, we spotted a huge bird, most probably a Heron and even a baby snake!!

*On our way back.. *
Then we continued our journey to Wasai, well-known for its 'Waterfall'~ Took us about 30minutes to get there from Luagan~ Mm, the road to Wasai was kind of bendy and we passed by alot of Iban's Long houses..

*Peace at Wasai!!*
... Oh ya, there was a lot of butterflies at Wasai that day!!!
One of them even flew into our car and greeted us!! We were extremely excited!!

*Beautiful flowers.. *
*This was the scenery taken off the main bridge (Starting point!!)*
*Me & Azman.. Ready to go!!*
*Not long later... We were stunned by the gorgeous stream!!*
*We took some pictures of course..*
*Mm.. To swim or not to swim?*
*Smile.. *
*There were lots of caterpillars too... *
*Me & Rawi~ PEACE..*
*Wooo.. The water was icing cold!!! & we went for a swim!!*
*The current near the waterfall was pretty strong.. Thank god, there was a rope to hold on!! *
... Oh ya, the pool was quite deep & scary too!!!!
*Attempting to rush into the waterfall!!*
... Oh ya, we also spend sometime at the shallow whirlpool region!!
~ It was fantastic and you should try it out!! The feeling was so refreshing and promising!!

*My last photo in Wasai, ~May 08~ =) *
